I could copy and paste all sort of historical and ethical informant about yoga from the web or ancient text. But the reason you’re on this page is not to learn an information that you can find everywhere. You’re on this page to explore what YOGA means for you. How can Yoga help you in your daily life? You're here to remind yourself how good it feels to be in harmony with your body and in alliance with your mind. You practice yoga, or soon start, because someone has already put the bug in the back of your head. This bug is telling you that YOGA is good for you. Not because you’ll be able to perform crazy or acrobatics poses. You practice because YOGA is the channel to get to know and respect your body. YOGA is your channel to discover and reveal the deepest thought that is hidden in the back of your mind.
The heart and soul of the yoga practice. Can you be still in one position for one minute? Try now, while you’re reading this words. Can you not move? Can you keep your focus on one point only? Can you keep your hands where they are without adjusting your clothes, scratching your nose or touching your hair?
Strength. Focus. Flexibility. We will get here, together
Did you ever wanted to feel like a Circ du Soleil artist, would you like to have wings instead of your arms? Then you should probably take a circus artist class, or a craft class to build you proper wings.
Even if you’ll be suspended upside down, and feel liked the most beautiful bird capable to fly everywhere, you’ll need to build strength, core and improve balance. It takes guts to jump into wild thighs, the unknown. But once you do it once, there is no coming back.
Don’t you find it hard sometimes to follow a flow? Where is the connection between the fluidity of the movements and the deepness of the breath? How does it really work, anyway? And just when you’re about to get it, the pose suddenly changes, and there you are again, totally lost in your flow.
We take pride to empower our practitioners to perform the flow at their own rhythm because we all are different. This is your practice. Nobody else’s.
We just need to unplug and restore ourselves sometimes, don’t we? As a full-time parent, business owner, and voyageur, I can’t be 100% at all times. I must restore my body. And now that I’ve learned how good it feels to sit back and let the body heal and restore itself, I made it one of my favorite pastime, both with the mat practice or with the aerial version of it. Yes, restorative aerial is great!
What does wellness mean to you? I ask myself this question often. I ask because I’m not, by any means, what most would consider a “perfect” yoga teacher. I love to enjoy a rich meal with a glass of wine and a digestive. I enjoy trying the hidden treasures that Mother Earth provides. Sometimes I stay up too late and can't get to sleep because my head spins around so fast that I can't control my thoughts. I’m a restless soul that deeply meditates, a lazy-Sunday-morning individual as well as a hard worker. I don’t follow many rules in life, save for one: I make sure that if I die tomorrow, I’ll die with no regrets. I’ll know that I have lived as plentiful of a life as I could, and leave with the peaceful knowledge that I tried not to hurt anyone intentionally in my day-to-day walk. This is my kind of wellness.
Ask us about our schedule and prices for the group and private classes option, it does change depending on the time of year. They could be one-on-one, at a friend get together, or special group classes, all at our wellness studio or in the comfort of your home.
